Beyond the story itself, Firar was also a journey for our team—quite literally. We brought our London-based crew to Kaş, a stunning coastal town in Türkiye, to capture the heart of the film in its natural light and atmosphere. From winding alleyways to golden-hour cliffs, the location became an essential character in the film.
The logistics weren’t small: flying out gear, coordinating travel for the team, and adapting to a new environment with all its beautiful unpredictability. But from the moment we landed, it was worth it. The people of Kaş welcomed us warmly, and the town offered everything we could’ve asked for— cinematic landscapes, and a sense of peace that mirrored Doğa’s inner world.
It was a rare and refreshing moment to step outside the fast pace of city shoots and immerse ourselves fully in storytelling. Whether we were blocking scenes by the sea or sharing meals after wrap, there was a strong sense that we were building something special—together, and far from home.
Here’s a glimpse of our behind-the-scenes experience in Kaş. It’s a chapter we’ll always hold close.
